Adult & Parent Programs

Mondays / Wednesdays
10am - noon

Mom's (or Dad's) in the church and community are invited to bring their children ages newborn - 5 years to the church nursery for 2 hours of fun-filled play, educational games, and Bible themed crafts and activities.  Go ahead and take your time grocery shopping or enjoy a magazine and a peaceful cup of coffee!  Each week our caring staff* and volunteers* encourage free play, then sit down for structured games and crafts.  After that we have a yummy snack.  The morning is ended with more free play and energetic singing and dancing, but don't forget our "clean up" song! 

This program costs $5 per child (with a maximum of $10 per family) and is offered to all community families on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Families are invited to bring their child(ren) to ONE session each week.  Spaces are limited.  To reserve your child's space, all you need to do is call the church office at 724-625-2002, one week in advance.

VPC follows the Mars Area School District's snow delay and cancellation schedule.  MMO is cancelled if Mars has a cancellation OR delay!

Mondays & Wednesdays (September 13th - November 24th) 
10:00 - 11:00 am

While the class is called "Mommy & Me", it is certainly not limited to mothers!  Fathers, grandparents, relatives, and caregivers are all welcome to register and attend with their 2 or 3 year old child.   Mommy & Me is available Mondays and Wednesdays, so choose the day that suits your schedule better!  The topic will be the same on Mondays and Wednesdays of the same week.  Feel free to select some Mondays and some Wednesdays if that fits your schedule better.  The cost is the same whether you attend 10 Mondays, 10 Wednesdays or any combination of 10 classes.

	Children should be age 2 by January 1st to participate.
	10:00-11:00 on Mondays from Sept. 13 - Nov. 22
	(no class on Oct. 11)
	10:00-11:00 on Wednesdays from Sept. 15 - Nov. 24
	(no class on Oct. 13)
	Register for any or all classes.
	($10 per class or $88 for all 10 classes)
	Bible Story and fun theme each week.
	Must be one adult for each child.
	Childcare for siblings ages 0-5 is provided free of charge.

We hear it all the time, to be a better parent you need to take time for yourself or you need to plan "date nights".  That may sound easy, but finding childcare that you can trust or that doesn't cost more than your night out can put even more stress on you.  At VPC, we believe in families and keeping families strong.  We offer a Parent's Night Out once a month to give you that opportunity to go on that date, or find some conversation time without all the interruptions, at a great low cost!  Each child is $5 with a family maximum of $10. 

Families with children ages newborn to 10 years are invited to bring their children to the church for a night of fun and learning with our caring staff* and volunteers*, while the parents enjoy a night out.  Each month the children have free play, listen to a story, and watch a Veggie Tales video while snacking on popcorn.  After the movie, the children are led through theme based crafts, games and activities.  We usually end the night with some songs and motions from previous Vacation Bible School music and coloring sheets.  This program is open to all community families; all you need to do to reserve your child's spot is to call ahead (724-625-2002) by the Wednesday prior as there is a limit to how many children we can accommodate.
